Creativation 2017, Part 1: Hot New Stamps

I am back from a wonderful trip to Creativation 2017! Creativation is the huge trade show just for the craft and hobby industry and it is amazing. It's where craft companies debut their new products for the year. If you are a love of all things crafty like I am, it's like walking through heaven (well, at least until your feet start hurting...)!

I saw so many awesome new products that there is no way I can cover them all, so I have chosen the products that I thought were the best - the most innovative, different, and coolest things I could find!

For part 1 of my show recap, I am focusing on stamps and stamp and die sets. I'll bet you will see something you like!

First up, we have Joy Clair stamps:

I have a personal love for Joy Clair -- they are from my home state of Georgia! I met Christy and Amanda at the CHA show several years ago and I have been loving their products ever since. Their stamps have a cute, hand-drawn quality to them, making them whimsical and fun. Plus, all of their stamps are made in the USA right there in Dalton, GA!

They have a great line of Bible journaling stamps (FYI: Bible journaling is all the rage in the craft world right now) that would also work great on scrapbook pages and cards.

Just look at those adorable little animals!  And that little canoe!

Those mermaids are killing me with cuteness!

You can even get custom stamps! There are tons of designs to choose from and they are only $15. I had to snap a pic of this one because it's repping my hometown!

Next up, we have Concord and 9th.

Concord and 9th is a fairly new company, but they definitely know what they are doing! Their stamps and dies are amazing. Just look at these Christmas cards.

These cards, using their "Holy Night" dies, were absolutely beautiful. They had such texture and dimension! And adorable story alert: Greg, one of the owners, designed this die after he found out his wife was having twins. I totally would buy this set just for that reason.

The cool thing is that the 3D/pop-up cards, like the one on the right, can fold up flat and actually be mailed in a standard envelope.

This "O Christmas Tree" stamp set is so cute. The trees alone make me want to hand stamp all my Christmas cards.

And look at this -- you can make little Christmas trees from this "Take a Bough" die set! OMG! I want this soooo bad. I want to make a whole forest of little trees! Seriously, click here and look at the things you can make with this.

Now let's check out Spellbinders.

Spellbinders has always made wonderful dies, but they are also in the stamp and matching die game. This "Royale Monogram" set is so nice. I could see myself using these to make gorgeous personalized stationery.

And finally, my absolute favorite of the whole show, Two Lips Stamps!

If you are a fan of those snarky "eCards" that you see on Facebook and Pinterest, you will LOVE these stamps! This is no lie: I stood in the Two Lips booth, just laughing like a loon. These stamps are that funny. If you want something different from the thousands of "believe" or "smile" stamps out there, then Two Lips is for you.

As we say in the south, "If that doesn't light your fire, your wood is wet!"

Any wonder why I was losing it in that booth? I want one of each of their stamps! I could make inappropriate cards for days!

So that's it for Part 1 of my Creativation tour. Did you see something you love? Give me a comment below!

  1. I would love to go the something like Creativation. You probably can get some much inspiration from other artists. Those stamps are super cute. I like the sign about chest pain. It was really funny and a lot of older people can relate. Humor is very important in life, especially when you age. I hope I can keep a sense of humor as I get older.
