Vintage Valentine
Who says your valentines have to be red and pink? Instead, why not go vintage! Using embellishments with a vintage feel, you can decorate a Deflecto acrylic craft frame to look like a cherished heirloom.
Using vintage and "faux vintage" odds and ends, I took a 4" X 6" Deflecto craft frame...
...and turned it into something that you might find in your grandma's attic!
I layered a flower from Hero Arts, stickers from Tim Holtz, a "love ticket" from Maya Road, and a glass bauble to add dimension to the outside of the frame.
Don't have any old photos to use? That's OK -- this one is a sticker from Tim Holtz! I thought this gentleman looked like someone from World War II, sending home a love letter to his best girl. I accented him with a metal mini frame and placed him on a small piece of canvas fabric.
And even though this project was made for Valentine's Day, the use of neutral colors makes it so that you can leave it out year-round!
I hope this "old world" project has inspired you to make something you love. Happy crafting!
