Magnetic Baseball Standings Board

One thing that people may not know about me is that I am a big baseball fan. I love my Atlanta Braves! Growing up in Georgia, we have seen the Braves go from worst to first... and unfortunately, this year, back to worst. However, no matter if the Braves are in the race for the pennant or not, I still love to follow the sport. And with my new Major League Baseball standings board featuring Deflecto magnetic craft sheets, I can keep track of all the teams in baseball!

The magnetic sheets are the perfect way to create this project because I can move the pennants around as the standings in each division change throughout the season.

I started with a plain magnetic dry erase board (the one I used is 17"x23"). I then cut out the words for each division heading using my Cricut machine and the "Base Camp" cartridge.

Can you believe I still only have the very first baby Cricut? Bought it in 2006 and it's still going strong!
The magnetic sheets are white on one side which is great because you can then color them any way you want. After cutting out the letters, I then painted them using acrylic paint.

I then just freehanded a triangle shape to make a pennant. I used it as a template and traced 29 more onto the magnetic sheets for a total of 30 pennants (one for each team in the MLB). I painted all of them using acrylic paint in the teams' colors. Finally, I wrote the name of each team on the pennants using a black Sharpie.

I went online here to get the latest standings for each division of the MLB and then placed the pennants in order according to their place in the leagues right now!

You can make a board like this for any sport... football, soccer, NASCAR, whatever. Since it's a magnetic board, it's super easy to change!

Play on, y'all, and go Braves!
